The Christmas party season is now well underway.

So we're taking the opportunity to remind people once again to think ahead, and if you're planning on having a few drinks, make sure you sort a lift home.

Never drink and drive. The consequences can be fatal, as our award-winning "Silent Night" video illustrates.

We made this short video back in 2017 to highlight the very real consequences of drink-driving - not just for those involved in collisions, but for the families and friends left behind.

It features the voices of children reading dialogue that's based on real 999 calls that we've received after fatal collisions.

The stark contrast between kids' voices and the collision scene is designed to remind viewers of the innocent lives that are shattered by the actions of the selfish.

If you get behind the wheel while under the influence of drink or drugs, you're not just putting your own life at risk. You are endangering the lives of everyone else around you, and the impact can be everlasting.

Throughout December, we have more patrols on the roads looking out for drink- and drug-drivers as part of ‘Operation Limit’. Anyone caught will face the full consequences of their actions.
